Resilience & the AI Muscle: A Hands-On Workshop for Women Business Owners and Professionals

AI is changing how we run our businesses, serve our clients, and lead our teams, and a lot of us are feeling that change before we have had a chance to make sense of it. In this two-hour working session, author and Nebula Academy founder Laurie Carey starts with the science of resilience. You will learn what change does to the brain and how to use the 5Rs from her book Resilience Is a Muscle to steady yourself through this wave.

Then you will put AI to work with your own laptop and real tasks from your week. You will move from everyday AI in your business to research and proposal writing, to automations and scheduled agents that run while you focus on what matters. You will finish by turning your own domain knowledge into tools you've only imagined. You will leave with a 30-day plan and the confidence to keep building.

No technical background needed. Just the desire to learn, fail, and build the skills needed to surf the wave.

About the Speaker
Laurie Carey, Founder & CEO, Nebula Academy

Laurie Carey is the Founder and CEO of Nebula Professional Development Academy and the creator of Stellar-OS, and her work sits where AI strategy, resilience, and workforce development meet. During nearly a decade at Microsoft, she served as a technology advisor to government CIOs, commissioners, and leadership across the country, including as a trusted advisor to New York City government and to Nassau and Suffolk County government, and she also served as President of Microsoft's SMSG Women in Technology community.

Laurie is a NeuroLeadership Institute Certified Executive Coach, holds an executive MBA from Harvard Business School, and is the author of Resilience Is a Muscle, a podcast host, and a keynote speaker who helps leaders and teams build the capacity to recalibrate forward through change. Since 2013, she has served as Founder and Board Chair of We Connect The Dots, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that builds career-readiness partnerships across government, education, community organizations, and the technology sector.

Nebula Academy & Stellar-OS

Nebula Academy is a certified woman-owned business. We train and coach government agencies, employers, and small business owners, and most of our work right now is helping people actually use AI in their jobs. Nebula started on Long Island before moving to Charlotte, and we still work with Suffolk County today.

Stellar-OS is an AI learning operating system that Laurie and her team built. A business owner can take what she already knows, like her process, her policies, or a presentation she gives to clients, and turn it into a course with video, narration, and assessments in an afternoon. She can run it with her team or sell it through the Stellar marketplace. It lives on Microsoft Azure and is listed in the Microsoft Marketplace. Laurie will show a bit of it during the hands-on hour.
