LI Center Programs

Monthly Dinner Meetings: The monthly networking meetings are an opportunity to build your individual network. A program is provided that enhances your knowledge and skills.  The meetings consist of a networking program, reception and dinner. Mark your calendars, save the dates and join us!

Professional Development Series: The LI Center's new Professional Development Series is infused with exciting and valuable perspectives on three critical dimensions of business performance: sales, operations and personal empowerment for performance excellence. Presented by a dynamic selection of business consultants, this diverse offering is sure to meet the organizational and growth needs of business enterprises, large and small. All sessions are held at the New York Institute of Technology Culinary Arts Restaurant on the Central Islip campus.

Speed Networking: Picture yourself at the beginning of a long and winding road, looking out as far as your eye can see. There are many smaller side roads along the way, but you keep your eye on the spot where the road eventually meets the horizon.
What's at your horizon? Are you aiming for a new sale? A new long-term customer? A colleague to partner with on an upcoming project? A mentor who can help you learn the ropes of a new business venture? A bigger network to increase your PR reach? The Long Island Center's Speed Networking can get you onto the road that will help you reach any and all of those things, and many others.

Achievers' Award: The first Long Island Center for Business & Professional Women Achievers' Awards Dinner Gala was held in 1977. The inaugural celebration honored 16 distinguished women in all fields of endeavor. Throughout the LI Center's history, we have been privileged to enjoy an exceptionally high level of commitment and achievement among our members and the women of achievement honored.

Scholarship and Awards: The LI Center offers a scholarship for each of the following categories: Academic Excellence, Community Service, and Self-Improvement. Applicants for scholarships must meet the Scholarship Criteria for the category they choose and follow the directions on the Scholarship Application for submission to the Long Island Center for Business & Professional Women.
