Business as Pleasure
A Proven, Step-By-Step Approach to Sales that is Friendly, not “Salesy”
Every owner or founder goes into business because s/he has a product to offer. Entrepreneurs work overtime to learn how best to deliver their service and earn a reputation in their industry. In fact, that is often the main focus that the business owner prefers. But there is vital function in the business world that must be delivered, and that is the job of bringing in customers. And, despite the fact that they are experts at their trade, and not professional salespeople, the burden of the sales function falls on the business owner. The problem is, many business owners downright HATE to sell!In our culture, salespeople are perceived as high-pressure, pushy and even dishonest. In a typical buying situation, this will be your prospect’s suspicion about you, right or wrong. So when the business owner finds him or herself in the position of salesperson, is it no wonder that we feel bad about ourselves, end up offering discounts that gobble our profits up, and generally grovel to get new business or keep existing accounts?
If you are a business owner, and you hate to sell, wouldn’t you love to know how to have enough of and the right kind of clients to prosper your business? Wouldn’t you appreciate knowing how to keep your prices high and attract new clients, many at a time, rather than making sales calls and networking, only to be rejected? And, how would it be if you had qualified customers asking you, “What’s my next step? How can I work with you?”
