"Before you can inspire with emotion, you must be swamped with it yourself." - Winston Churchill
It doesn't matter if you're a career woman, wife, mother, or all three. Usually we are so busy running around for everyone else, we never really take a moment to stop and nurture ourselves. This one little task can make such a huge difference in our everyday productivity, happiness, and general well-being. To nurture ourselves, and incorporate this into our daily schedules, is not an indulgence, but rather a priority.
When we take responsibility for our well-being first, we are then able to give so much more to those we hold dear to our hearts, and be there for them in a much more loving and authentic way. Our partners, children, family members, co-workers and all the other people in our lives, would benefit from getting our very best, simply because we care, and give ourselves the best first. This little task of nurturing is far from a selfish act, but is actually very giving to ourselves and others. By taking the time to care for yourself, you are in essence, making yourself better able to be there emotionally and physically for those who are important in your life.
You may only be able to take ten minutes one day, but on another day, may have an hour of time, or more. As long as you take this time, and do something just for you, the energy and spirit of life you get in return will be wonderful for yourself and everyone around you. So take that walk, read that book, take the extra time in the bath, go to the salon, get that massage, sleep late on Sunday, cook your favorite meal, or order in. Simply PRORITIZE the time for yourself - it will rejuvenate you from the inside out. Ladies, be there for YOU first
