Monica Tarantino….. graduated from St. John’s University with a B.S. Degree in Accounting and a MBA in Management Science. Monica has worked for a number of Banks, including the Bowery Savings Bank, Citibank and Bessemer Trust. Monica started her career as a teller with the Bowery Savings Bank in Massapequa. Over the years, Monica held a number of positions, including Director of Consumer Affairs, Sales Support Manager and Director of Shareholder Services.
In 2002, A Taste of Home Bakery opened in North Bellmore. This bakery is family owned. Rose (Monica’s sister) and Dan Fuger, along with their children and Rose’s mother, Nancy are the team that created this new Bakery. Whenever possible, Monica would assist in the store. When Monica retired from Banking in 2005, she became a co-owner of A Taste of Home. Since that time the Bakery has expanded to become a Café and Sweet Shop.
A Taste of Home has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores and the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce since 2003. Monica is a member of the Women’s Executive Network which is associated with the Nassau Museum of Art. She is also a member of the Massapequa Chapter of Business Network International and the East Meadow Kiwanis.
Monica lives in Massapequa with her husband, Paul.
