Grace
Conti
Executive Vice President of
Portnoy, Messinger, Pearl & Associates, Inc. (PMP)
Grace Conti’s professional career in Human Resources spans over
20 years. She joined PMP in 1993 as an HR/Labor and Employment Consultant
and was named Executive Vice President in 2001. PMP is celebrating
its 44th anniversary this year and Grace has seen it grow from its
Long Island roots to servicing clients nationwide and she continues
to be instrumental in PMP’s continued growth. Ms. Conti’s background,
experience and collaborative style helps clients develop a solid
HR infrastructure to diminish exposure to litigation, reduce turnover
and improve the company’s bottom line.
Ms.
Conti is best known for her expertise in Affirmative Action rules
and regulations. She has achieved an exceptional record of successful
OFCCP audits. She holds AAP training workshops throughout the country
and conducts mock OFCCP audits for clients. Grace was recently elected
Co-Chair of the Long Island Industry Liaison Group, which is a local
chapter of a national organization of federal contractors.
Grace
is passionate about the importance of the business community to
understand, support and sponsor life/work balance for employees.
To this end, she is an active member of the National Association
of Mothers’ Center (NAMC) Corporate Committee and is directly involved
with their Annual Life/Work Conference. Her membership in SHRM and
the LI Center for Business and Professional Women has helped her
enhance both her professional and personal life. Grace also works
with her parish’s outreach program to assist in outplacement and
skills enhancement where needed. In 1994 Grace was awarded the St.
Pius X Award by the Bishop of Rockville Centre for having contributed
ten years of outstanding volunteer service in the catechetical ministry
in her parish.
Grace
is married and has two children – Lisa, a 6th Grade Band Teacher
at Locust Valley Middle School and Joseph, a Network Engineer with
Lehmann Brothers. She resides in East Meadow with her husband, Danny,
of 38 years.
