In the 30 years since Fran and I collaborated we have watched our efforts grow into a major business organization. It has been a significant
factor in the professional lives of many LI women - more than a few of our early members now hold high-profile jobs or are leaders in the business community.
We have finally "cracked" the glass ceiling. Prominent corporations have woman CEO's, the Speaker of the House is a woman, and a woman is a front-runner candidate for President. We certainly have made progress.
Fran and I are proud to have been a part of the growth of the Island's female business population. We hope the current young members of the L I Center experience even greater changes and recognition during the next 30 years.
